Go to your User CP, then Profile, and uncheck the box that says "Always stay logged in" or something similar.

Yeah it does, do that. Go to where all the forum's are listed, go to the very bottom right of the page and it says "Log Out" click that now and you should be logged out.
If you were concerned, it seems he has logged out.
