Only fools think;

I'm not dumb,
of course I see the monsters feeding.
Gnawing at children's stories,
rampaging through baby cages and loving arms.
But who am I to challenge the way things are?
How can I be so arrogant to pretend that my fingers,
can even grasp their jaws?
Hell, I'd be stupid to acknowledge their terror.

I'm not blind,
I can feel their movement,
burrowing under my skin,
fucking up my hair,
spreading like termites between my bones.
That's how they live,
I am their harvest,
person

fied.

I'm far from deaf,
I'm aware of the way they want me to be,
nestled by the scythe.
They want me deep,
because they're afraid of what I my hands have built.
They want me reborn, with no eyes,
no ears,
no way to communicate
how fucking monstrous they are.

I'm not dumb,
but you must realize,
they're only human.

This was a good read man, as usual your poetic voice is good, carrying each 'sense' in this poem. You did a good job of illustrating that 'in-my-head' tone and the imagery was great, however what i found most enjoyable was your last 3 lines which did a great job of closing out this poem.
