    Having a problem with my emu card and nuendo...

    iight... im using a emu 1212m... and nuendo 3.0( steppin up from adobe )... now i can record in it fine..but my problem is i cant figure out how to use the asio drivers... whenever i switch to asio it doesnt record, even tho my patchmix is showing theres input signal. But when i use the WDM drivers... it works fine, but i kinda wanna use the asio drivers... am i loosing quality by using the wdm drivers.?

    also... i am having a really bad latency issue with my midi keyboard eversince i started using my emu 1212m again... i was using my stock for awhile, and jus installed my emu a couple days ago... then i started having trouble with my keyboard... i will press the key and it takes like 3 seconds to play in reason, but then in fruity loops it works fine...

    plz try to help me out, lol i finally got all my shit hooked up, i havent recorded for like almost a year, and if this has happened to you...you know how it feels to have a mic standing right infront of your face and not be able to spit... lol its a horrible feeling...

    help be much appreciated!

    not sure why your having the first problem but for your latency try your buffer settings

    as far as the latency, its your buffer settings in Reason that are doing it... look into that and get it corrected. Your going to want to lower your buffer size.

    as far as your asio setup in nuendo...

    you might need to actually setup your in's and outs in nuendo. Sometimes it doesnt automatically detect. go to "devices/vst connections"... and setup your I/O's from there... do that after you switcfh to your ASIO driver.... if your still not getting a signal after that... then its something wrong with your ASIO driver, or your nuendo install.

    iight thanx for the help... i got the keyboard problem fixed thanx to yall... i checked the ins and outs..they looked fine... and i tried using asio in acid pro 5.0 it worked fine..so im pretty sure its to do with nuendo... ill try reinstalling it...

    i think it might be ur routing in the patchmix...create an output strip (ASIO 1/2) then insert a send from ur input to ASIO 1/2...opey sent me a tutorial for the 1820 but its pretty much the same concept
