I'd go with Black Milk myself. Personally I never got too into Pete Rock as a rapper. meh, he was ok, but never really wowed me. Same with hi-tek. I'm surprised nobody even mentioned Dre. Not too good on the mic, but he kills it behind the boards. I'd also put oddisee and Kev Brown on this list. Oddisee is easily in my top 5. He's probably 2 or 3 in all honesty.
