OK its no secret I'm rooting for my South African boys but contenders for the world cup:

    Are Spain and Holland

Spain, they have a dynamic team that boasts a host of top quality and team chemistry.
Teams such as Brazil have to chance at all. I mean Dunga cut off so many of their match winners and there is no chance in hell they can win against the elephants of the Ivory Coast. My bet is the may find it difficult to even get through the first round. Highly overrated.

As for Argentina, they might as well forget. Its no use having the biggest fists if there's nowhere to hit. An ill disciplined team to say the least with a lousy mentor to look for guidance. Lets face it, the coach has a weak tactical ability, period.

Not selected for their teams or injured:

    England

    David Beckham
    Theo Walcott
    Michael Own

    Germany

    Michael Ballack

    France:

    Karim Benzema
    Samir Nasri
    Patrick Viara
    Lassana Diarra

    Brazil:

    Javier Zanetti
    Juan Riquelme
    Neymar
    Ronaldinho
    Adriano

    Spain

    Raul Gonzalez

    Italy:

    Alesandro Nesta
    Francesco Totti
    Del Piero
    Luca Toni
    Fabio Gross

Italy, Brazil, France, Germany not even Semi-final sorry to dash you hearts
Yeah I was upset to find out Theo isn't playing for England.

Totti not playing for the squad isn't a suprise...he never wants to play eh?

and Zanetti & Riquelme is Argentina silly boy.

Wow at all the missing players for France.

holland arent even underated anymore. they could easily win it, but are like england and just flop whenever it comes to quarter finals or semis. were (england) relying on rooney far to much. capello's picked our strongest team though. theo walcott wasnt good enough. but if possible im goin for holland in the final v.s either england or spain. portugal will be a team to spoil someones world cup though

    ^^Huntelaar's frankenstein looking self..and more..

I love my portuguese squad but they lack strikers..only Ronaldo, but wondering what position he'll play.would be cool to watch a 4-3-3 and put nani, simao as the wingers and Ronaldo just upfront...but don't know...

Oh and I'm rooting for Slovenia and Ivory Coast first. Why? Because the Slovenian team is like a Bosnian soccer colony. Half their team is Bosnian, including all the best players. Ivory Coast is coached by a Bosnian legend, Vahid. So those two got my support. Of course I know neither have much of a chance to win the whole thing but regardless.

A cool final would be Spain vs. Brazil.
