    Haha Keebs. Spoken GTI's are fantastic! I was going to get an R32 myself, it was a hell of a lot cheaper than the A5.. and it just looks sick.

    Oh, I just noticed you were talking about the regular Golf, still a sweet ride though.

    yeah, GTI was out of my range and worse, the insurance was a bit much.

    I Drive the 08... haha.
    lol, both quality cars. I traded my old Golf from 2005 in, to get this one cheaper. Pretty nice rides tho

    my friend Karl has an '07 GTI that he's dumped a ton of money into makin' it faster and more hard core... he just had VW build him a one-off transmission with gearing all his choice and blah blah 'cause he finally roached his original trans... he's got a youtube vid where he maxes out the speedo at 186 on a backass highway in Wyoming...

    here's what helped finally kill his trans, among other abuse...

    Passport is a beast of a suv. Passport>pathfinder and xterra. Suspension is shot on mine, looking to replace it. Also looking for a sway bar.

    not from what I've seen. Everyone in my family is a mechanic, my great uncle was the #1 mechanic in state for the longest time; and they always seem to be complaining about v-dubs. Audi makes nice vehicles, haven't heard anything bad about them. BMW's don't last long and always seem to run into problems. I know a girl whose bmw blew a head gasket a month after she bought it. BMw's always seem to have something go wrong in a short amount of time, whereas american muslce has stood the test of time.

    I'll stick to japanese(silvia ftw) cars for now, until I can get my dream car
