I have like 3 home audio subs, im using a emu 4040 how exactly do igo about hooking one of these subs up? do i have to get a amplifier for it also? sorry this vague but i dont know what more to add im using windows xp also and its a sony home audio sub
Sony = wack... it gives you a bad sence of bass...
but if you're talkin about just hooking it up... use a stereo reciever... hook the sub to that... then hook the reciever to the 0404 with rcas...

sony aint that bad though...it COULD be worse....he could have a KLH sub....or an RCA sub....now THEY sound like shit....
you can use an amp too, that is all you would be using the receiver for
i had a ghetto rigged set-up a while back using a computer power supply to convert the 110V wall power to 12V and then powered a car amp to run a sub. it was ghetto but it was all that I had. and actually didn't sound half bad.
i recommend getting some nice monitors that have good bass response in the future. that is what i'm doing now, looking into some 8" events

i didnt leave the subject...ive had 2 sony subs...and they didnt bump as much as those 15's did niether...
the point i was makin, by comparin the brand new KLH shit, to the , remember, OLD BUSTED ass technics, rips in the cones n shit, been bumped for years,
is that KLH is weak.....which is one of the reasons it dont cost much....
i aint defendin sony though....sony aint that nice niether...but its definitely better than KLH....
best house shit i ever had was black widow, cerwin vega, and bose......had these pioneer twelves that sounded pretty good too....
