More Than Skin
Terrified and tumbling
I felt like more than your body
wrapped and tight,
bound by pale skin and black hair
hands touching.
I am more than a body
more than your muse
I sweep silently by
not missing anything
feeling like light.
Patient, persuading
elevated beyond the sky
your mind weighs heavy
makes earthquake steps
I am more than your body.
Poets say the soul
resides outside the frame
my memory is strong,
remembers before breath
we aren't the same ..
Forgive Me.
