Yo College Heads, Quick Question

Never took a summer course before, but i already signed up for 3
2 in Summer 1, another in Summer 2, is this fuckin rediculous?

English Comprehension 101>Anthropology 104 and Business Communications 233
Just wondering "How compact" coursework material is gona be.
Might drop one of them bitches cuz I dont wanna lose money.

Im taking anthro, it's pretty easy alot of terminology you have to memorize. I suggest taking cultural anthro rather than physical wayyy easier.

First two are "easy" "soft" subjects. Second one i think is a bit more analytical. It depends what you wanna take.

^I was told that shit would be easy, the only reason I signed up for it.

Eng 101 might be the one to frusterate me, Business Comm. 233 is being taught by an instructor I have now, Already got his technique down so that class is pretty much locked.

I just dont wanna end up droppin one of these classes and paying for it.
Any sugg's on Anthropology? The only thought I have on it is its simular to history?
The study of past human civilizations?

well engl 1101 you basicaly will just be a hella lot of essays. dont know exactly how during the summer but i took it during the regular semester and it was prolly like 6 essays in all

I minored in Socio-Cultural Anthro... not for any reason other than the classes were interesting and I had enough for the minor without knowing it. lol. Depends on the school though... some of the upper division cultural anthro classes kicked my ass, but I enjoyed them so I didn't mind the work.

As far as summer classes, I did it twice while I was in college and they were sooooo easy. I honestly don't think the workload was any greater. We just had longer classes. Most of my classes were always just midterm and final though... so there wasn't much work beyond reading.

I could see the English class being a challenge if they require a lot of writing but if that's the only class you are taking for that period, you should be fine.

English is June 1st-July 22nd
Anthropology is June 1st-July 1st
Business Communications is July 6th-August 6th

English consists of 4 3,000 word essays.. dunno how I feel about that :vanja:

Do you know what is required for the Anthro class? Our social and cultural classes always had a lot of reading but I didn't mind it. In some of the classes I took we studied how the culture and physical structure of a city dictates graffiti, the cultural norms of drug dealers, the socialization of 'becoming a marijuana user', bathroom habits of men, lol. Hopefully your teacher is as interesting as mine were.

Im pretty much done with my English major but I'm gonna have to due intersessions myself because I had a cunt for an adviser who told me all you need is 12 credits a semester. From what I've heard summer courses aren't bad. You can prolly manage three.

There is no pre-req for it, its an intro to anthro.

Business Communications is easy, might be boring, but im doing it for the credits.

Depends where you go man. Schools require you to take/do the same courseload as a full Sem class...keep that in mind when you are going for them. Just a condensed class. Plus youonly have like 2 or 3 days to drop a summer class with refund or with a W. good luck.
