clanking unsettling beats and then breaks-

all I wanted was peace and seclusion, either that or a decent illusion
to lull me to sleep and defeat the confusion,
caused by those who seek me out to complete the abusement
to find the secrets of my existence, now my only secret is movement
it seems just yesterday two strange men darkened my doorstep
telling then unknown prophecies of a child caught in a vortex
an unnatural phenomenon caused when a storm hit
that left an everlasting abnormality of the organs
they knew more of me than I did, the question was how but I ignored it
so I followed, and what followed that was the scalpel and forceps
this may seem queer but I feel honored, surrounded by the greatest of minds
they were delicate, taking their time, and I must say I had rather spacious confines
unfortunately for them I had running water and a view of the forest
I learned to listen to nature's song and play in tune with the chorus
able to mimic their very essence down to the roots of my core
obtained through tranquility, though I'd need to use it for war
read the tracks of the wind and marked myself a route to the door
now roots cracking through concrete from the roof to the floor
during that escape many men were injured yet only one perished
one of the first two I met, he was unworthy and uncaring
so I was/am a hunted man, my every footstep collected
following blind intuition, running towards a purpose with no direction
they were hot on my heels but couldn't falter my will
so rather then elude them and lay low I found myself caught in a field
surrounded in a sea of flowers, I seized the pollen and released the powder
beneath the cloak of the screen I fled the scene with speed and power
bought myself a head start towards some trees that towered
and found myself staring at a beast that excedes my power
stuck between these highly fitted agents and a mighty river raging
I was running out of options so I turned around to face them
before I could even make a move I was riddled with shots
over 50 fired and at least 30 hit on the spot
suddenly I was in flight, not knowing I was crashing fast
then I went into a darkness, waiting for the black to pass

through the chaos I found my peace, with no direction I found nowhere
the place where I belong, big brother to all that grows there
always training just in case that fateful day shall come
that the powerful once again find themselves in search of nature's son

Vote: King Prince

Prin' had the better, more accessible plot here.
Prin' also had the better rhyme schemes and rhymes.
I enjoyed HEC's poetic vibe, and how hypersensitive his imagery was, but it made his story extremely slow, and venture into an abstractness that I couldn't follow too closely.
Now, I wasn't too thrilled with Prin's story vs. HEC's. HEC's story was more vague, or ambiguous but Prin's had it faults with me as well. I felt like it was way too long and it stagnated in achieving new ideas or reaching some synthesis of thought(new thought); but, it got the job done this time around.

If that all made any sense. But yeah, thanks to you guys for showing up. This will be in the voting trend of one's preference, because I think each one is damn near the polar opposite of the other which makes for a cool battle, but, personally, I'm not appreciating the poetic verse this time around, it didn't have the momentum I was looking for.
