You don't need a large vocabulary to write something good. There are many other elements to creative writing which are infinitely more important. Try reading other people's work, ones you look up to, and get an idea of how they organize their thoughts. From there, develop your own style.

Don't use words you aren't familiar with, because I'm pretty positive you would try and fit them in every sentence you create. Which, would inevitably make you sound awkward as fuck. Trust me I use to look up words and try and do the same shit. By the way don't use wiki as a place to look words, use a dictionary that has been published.

Pick up books by writers your teachers told you were good, like Hemingway, Twain, Dickens, Faulkner, Shakespeare, read something by them and when you come across a word you don't know, write it down, then look up the definition, then write the definition to help you remember.

After a few books you'll literally have learned over 500-1000 new words. It's called learning. Don't have to be assigned work to learn, man. Step up your independent research game.

I took your advice and bought myself under the dome by stephen king.... and looks like a kick ass book.... only cauz he's prob one of the only person i can read from.... I read 2 books from him be4 and from another one that was good.... the rest i've did didn't interest me, got me bored.... so ill try to look up for top authors and get my worth.....

associate words you use now, look them up & find an alternative for it... just don't go crazy with it.
